Grass fed beef, lamb, hogget, mutton, pork and heritage turkey, reared here on the farm and butchered to order. A wide variety of meat packs to suit all budgets — price on enquiry.

What’s in a meat pack?

We put packs together to suit you rather than selling one fixed box. Tell us how much freezer space you have and what you like to cook, and we’ll build a pack around it — from a small mixed pack to a half or whole animal. Everything is butchered, bagged, labelled and frozen or chilled ready for collection.

  • Lamb, hogget & mutton packs

Slow grown, grass fed rare breed lamb, and older hogget and mutton for real depth of flavour. Available as mixed packs, or as half and whole lamb boxed and bagged into your choice of cuts.

  • Beef packs

Native breed beef from our Irish Moiled cattle, hung properly and butchered to order. Mixed packs of steaks, roasting joints, braising cuts and mince, up to quarter and half beef orders.

  • Pork packs

Traditional outdoor reared Tamworth and British Saddleback pork: chops, joints, belly, sausages and bacon. Mixed pork packs, half pigs and whole pigs by arrangement.

  • Heritage turkey

Naturally mated, slow grown heritage turkeys for Christmas. Numbers are limited each year, so order early to reserve a bird.

Prices depend on the breed, the size of the animal and the cuts you choose, so every pack is priced on enquiry. There’s no obligation — call or email and we’ll talk you through what’s available now.

Why buy rare breed meat?

Traditional breeds became rare as farming became more intensive: they couldn’t mature as quickly, so modern farming moved to early-maturing continental stock. You cannot manage an old breed in a highly intensive system.

Because they are slower maturing, our animals are older when they reach the right level of finish, and the meat has developed far more flavour. Some fat is necessary for meat to have succulence and flavour, and rare breed meat has it in the right places.

Beef and lamb extensively fed on grass also carry significant levels of Omega-3 fatty acids in the meat and fat — oily fish is not the only natural product with those benefits built in.
